One of my friends is an artist. She sent me the catalogue of her latest show, and while I was reading the descriptions and explanations and looking at her amazing art I thought: what if I took pictures not based on the object but on the colors? So I chose three pictures with interesting colors and played around with them.

Interesting results, and definitely worth exploring further, I thought. So I played around with the next one:

… and moved the colors around a little more, mainly to see how far I could separate them.

The third received a different treatment, and I think I like that one the most.

The egret hunting in the late-afternoon sun became unrecognizable:

This was more enjoyable than I want to admit, and clearly there is more to learn. I think I will look at blurry pictures differently from now on.
